Paolo basso, the world’s elite sommelier
Paolo Basso is one of the most skilled palates in the world. He was elected best sommelier of Switzerland in 1997, and in 2010, he won the European title. In 2013, he was named the best sommelier in the world. Paolo Basso has worked in numerous establishments recognized by the most renowned gastronomic guides. The oenologist has acquired extensive experience in rare wines and has become a recognized expert over the years. Consultant for several hotel chains and juror of international tasting competitions, Paolo Basso is keen to pass on his knowledge. He teaches at the Changins Wine School in Switzerland and the Worldsom School in Bordeaux, France.
