To explore the art and culture of Denmark, there are many museums and galleries within Copenhagen. The National Museum contains archaeology and cultural history. Denmark's National Gallery includes work from Rubens, Rembrandt, Picasso, and Matisse. There are a number of sculptures and other artefacts from the ancient world in the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek museum, and the work of some impressionist painters. Louisiana houses a collection of modern art. An old hospital houses the Danish Museum of Art and Design. Copenhagen is particularly noted for its Jazz scene, after some well-known US musicians moved to the city during the 1960s. In July there is the Copenhagen Jazz Festival that attracts many lovers of the style.
